Privacy policy
What this site collects, and how to change your mind
Short version: nothing about you is collected until you say yes, and you can take that yes back at any time.
Who runs this site
This is the personal site of Jack Hobbs. For any privacy question or request, contact jack.e.hobbs@gmail.com.
What is collected, and when
By default, no analytics or marketing data is collected. Analytics loads only if you grant consent through the banner. If you do, the site collects standard product-analytics data through Google Analytics 4 and Amplitude: pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, and basic device and browser information. Amplitude also records a session replay of your interaction with the page.
The site does not collect your name, email, or any account details, because it has no login or forms that ask for them.
Cookies and similar storage
- CleanCmpConsent: stores your consent choice so the banner does not ask again. This is a necessary cookie and is set regardless of your choice. It lasts about a year (365 days), after which you will be asked again.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4, Amplitude), set only after you grant analytics consent, used to measure how the site is used.
Changing or withdrawing consent
Use the consent icon on any page to reopen your choices and accept, reject, or change categories at any time. Withdrawing consent stops further analytics collection.
Who the data goes to
Analytics data is processed by Google (Google privacy policy) and Amplitude (Amplitude privacy policy). Data is not sold, and is not used for advertising.
Your rights
You can ask what data is held about you, ask for it to be deleted, or withdraw consent. Because the site stores no identifying details, the practical record is your consent history, which you can view through the consent icon. For anything else, contact jack.e.hobbs@gmail.com.
